Top Software after a Computer Format

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Compassionate.

These are the line up of my favorite softwares. To me, they are simple, easy, handy, friendly and useful.

Since I have gone through a lot of desktop's and laptop's formatting, In my mind, I always consider these software as the key software for the particular system. Consider them as a first thing first after a computer format.

1. Anti-virus - I think everyone agree that this is the first software that should be installed first after the operating system. 
2. 7-zip or IZArc 
3. Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash.
4. CCleaner, Defraggler (I use them as alternatives to windows defragmenter)
5. Microsoft Office
6. Codecs
7. Gom Player (they are many more softwares available on the net, but I prefer to use Gom)
8. Internet browser such as; Firefox, Google Chrome or Opera (as alternatives to Internet Explorer).
9. Lastly Filehippo Update Checker.

These are not fixed, they depends on the purpose of the computer and your own thought.
I love them mostly because they are reliable and simple. I will try to keep them updated as much as I can.

Laptop Overheating Issue

Overheating is very depressing especially for gamers. People usually play games hours a day. However, due to some reasons, overheating occurs. Shutting down the laptop without any notifications. Even more depressing when it happens while working on something, a research, writing a report, or any assignment or project. Start over again even after 1% of work is still depressing.

Therefore, instead of wasting moneys on a new laptop for just the same purpose, why not try resolve the problems without spending any cents.

So, here is how to deal with this overheating issue. It's simple, applicable to any types of laptop(Mostly old laptop or laptop with AMD processor).

Go to:

1. Control Panel
2. System and Security
3. Power Options
4. From there, choose any power plan options, in this case choose High performance power plan. Edit Plan Settings 
5. Change advanced power settings
6. Scroll down and expand Processor power management. Then, set the Minimum processor state for plugged in to any value between 5% to 60%. After that, set the Maximum processor state for plugged in to a suitable value. For CQ40-401ax, the recommended value is between 80% to 90%, depends on the condition of the laptop. The value can also be applied to other types of laptop make or model.

Some performance drop might be felt in certain condition if the value is set below 80% or 85%,.under certain loads.

The Pros:

Its is a valuable laptop during its time.

Excellent for office use. Acceptable gaming performance.

The Cons:

Expensive and inefficient compared to today's laptop with the same or better specifications.

Overheating issue due to its poor ventilation design. Couldn't even run recent games.

Conclusion:

Still valuable for recent office documentations and processing.It can run Catia V5, AutoCAD and ANSYS without any problems. In terms for gaming, it is still valuable if you are not a heavy gamer. It can still run Warcraft III and DotA. Not suitable if you are planning to run any recent games. The main problem is the overheating issue.
